Thinly sliced beef, bold gochugaru seasoning, and a rich broth — this is ramen elevated to something that belongs on a restaurant menu.

Ingredients (2 servings)

2 packs Hungry Korean Thick Ramen Noodles, 200g beef sirloin or ribeye (thinly sliced), 2 tbsp Hungry Korean Gochugaru Chili Flakes, 2 tbsp soy sauce, 1 tbsp sesame oil, 1 tsp sugar, 3 cloves garlic (minced), 2 cups beef or chicken broth, green onions and sesame seeds to serve.

The Beef Marinade

Mix soy sauce, sesame oil, sugar, garlic, and half the gochugaru. Toss the sliced beef and let it sit for at least 10 minutes while you prep everything else.

Method

Heat a pan over high heat. Sear the marinated beef for 2-3 minutes until cooked and slightly caramelised. Set aside. In the same pan, add broth, remaining gochugaru, and bring to a simmer. Add noodles and cook for 2-3 minutes. Serve noodles in bowls, top with the beef, green onions, and sesame seeds.
