“Healthy” and “ramen” don’t have to be opposites. Here’s how to build a genuinely nourishing Korean bowl with Hungry Korean ingredients.
Start with the right noodle: Our Thin Ramen has a lighter texture that pairs well with vegetable-forward broths. For a heartier bowl, our Thick Ramen provides more sustaining texture.
Build a smarter broth: Instead of the full spice pack, try building your own: Gochugaru for heat, Garlic Powder for depth, a pinch of Ginger Powder for warmth, and a good quality broth base (vegetable or bone broth both work). You control the sodium. You control the layers.
Add protein and vegetables: A soft-boiled egg adds quality protein. Bok choy, mushrooms, and bean sprouts add bulk and nutrition. Tofu works beautifully in a Five Spice broth.
Finish intentionally: A pinch of Black Sesame. A drizzle of sesame oil. A wedge of lime. These small finishing touches add flavour without adding heaviness.
A bowl can be bold and balanced. Hungry Korean gives you the tools for both.
