This spicy tofu stir fry comes together in under 20 minutes and works over rice, noodles, or straight from the pan.
Ingredients (2 servings)
1 block extra-firm tofu, 2 tbsp Hungry Korean Gochugaru Chili Flakes, 2 tbsp soy sauce, 1 tbsp sesame oil, 1 tbsp rice vinegar, 1 tsp sugar, 3 cloves garlic (minced), 1 tsp ginger (grated), 2 tbsp vegetable oil, green onions and sesame seeds to serve.
Method
Press tofu for at least 15 minutes, then cut into cubes. Mix gochugaru, soy sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, sugar, garlic, and ginger into a sauce.
Heat oil in a non-stick pan over medium-high heat. Fry tofu cubes until golden and crispy on all sides — about 8-10 minutes total, turning regularly. Add the sauce to the pan, toss to coat, and cook for 2 more minutes until the sauce caramelises slightly around the tofu.
Serve over steamed rice or Hungry Korean ramen noodles, garnished with green onions and sesame seeds.
