A year ago, Hungry Korean was a new name in the Canadian market. A page with zero followers. Products on a shelf that most people hadn’t heard of.

We knew the quality was there. What we didn’t know was how Canadians would receive it.

The answer exceeded what we hoped for.

Can I use Lemongrass Powder in a broth or is it just for stir-fries? These are the questions of people who actually care about what they’re cooking.

The community responded. Our Instagram and Facebook grew โ€” slowly at first, then consistently. The posts that performed best weren’t the polished product shots โ€” they were the ones that explained something, taught something, told a story. That told us what you value: knowledge and authenticity.

We learned as much from you as we hope you learned from us.

Year two is already in motion. New products, new recipes, new ways to bring Korean and Asian flavour to Canadian kitchens. We’re more excited now than we were a year ago.
