Korean cuisine has a reputation for heat — and it’s earned. But Korean spiciness isn’t one-dimensional. Here’s how to navigate it.

Level 1 — Mild: A small pinch of Gochugaru in a broth. You notice it, but it’s more warmth than heat. Good for beginners and children.

Level 2 — Medium: Our Kimchi Ramyun spice pack. Distinctly spicy, but balanced by the tangy kimchi flavour. Most people handle this comfortably.

Level 3 — Hot: Our Spicy Gochugaru Ramyun, as written. A proper Korean level of heat — clear sinuses, satisfying warmth throughout.

Level 4 — Korean Restaurant Hot: The Gochugaru Ramyun plus an extra spoonful of our Gochugaru Flakes. This is the bowl that makes you sweat and then immediately want another one.

Level 5 — Halloween Challenge: Everything from Level 4, plus Dried Chilli Crushed on top. Proceed with respect.

Start where you’re comfortable. But we promise — the deeper you go, the better it tastes.
